Charlize Theron Will Play A Spy For ‘John Wick’ Directors In ‘The Coldest City’

May 12, 2015

Deadline reports that Focus Features has closed a deal to have Charlize Theron to star as a spy in The Coldest City. The film is an adaptation of the graphic novel written Antony Johnston and it’s script will be penned by Kurt Johnstad (300, Aquaman). John Wick directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski are on board which should add a level of action that will deliver the goods.

A super spy who springs into action after an underground MI6 officer is killed just before the fall of the Berlin Wall. She must find a list he was smuggling into the West to protect herself and the counter intelligence community. It becomes a game of double-crossing as agents play out global agendas.

This news along with the deal to make Bloodshot and John Wick 2 gives the impression they won’t be able to make that DC Comics film they were approached for, and likely will be exiting talks to make Cowboy Ninja Viking.
