There has been back and forth speculation that Chris Pine might be playing either Steve Trevor or Hal Jordan in an upcoming DC Expanded Universe movie. It was already rumored he might join Wonder Woman as Steve Trevor than a small rumor popped up that he might be Hal Jordan in DC Comics Green Lantern Corp. Added fuel to the fire was the fact at SDCC earlier this month it looked like Chris Pine as Hal Jordan in the Green Lantern Corp concept art shown to the audience.
Now The Wrap is reporting that he has indeed signed onto Wonder Woman opposite Gal Gadot as the pilot who lands on Themsycria as Steve Trevor. Wonder Woman’s first and traditional love interest. It’s unfortunate but at the same time not surprising given the rumor of Green Lantern was never picked up by the trades like the Steve Trevor story was. Now the question remains who will play Hal Jordan?!
Wonder Woman will be directed by Patty Jenkins and hits in 2017
