Christian Bale Was Being Considered For A ‘Han Solo’ Role

Jan 4, 2017

It looks like Woody Harrelson wasn’t the only actor being considered for the mentor role in Lord/Miller’s Han Solo standalone.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Welsh actor and former Batman Christian Bale had been once considered for the part.

If cast, Harrelson will play an early mentor to Ehrenreich’s Solo. Disney and Lucasfilm were looking for a big name for the role — a search that, at one time, included Christian Bale.

Who knows if they’ll circle back to Bale for a different part but it could happen.

Harrelson could join Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, and Donald Glover in the film as production begins this February in London.
