Charles Lee Ray known more infamously as the Lakeshore Strangler in Don Mancini’s Child’s Play trilogy is scheduled for another 2017 film starting production with the creator himself holding nothing back in his twitter posts on the subject.

Despite the Curse of Chucky being less than lackluster in it’s special effects and spotty acting. It still raised a lot familial questions concerning Charles Lee Ray and Jennifer Tilly’s surprising return and her parts to play in further films making us definitely ask for more.
Mancini had made numerous Twitter posts hinting about the return of Chucky when Mancini posted a teaser photo of himself with the stars of the Curse of Chucky Fiona Dourif and Brad Dourif with the hash tag #goodguys.
Along with the teaser image Mancini’s partner Nick Antosca who is currently finishing up on the second season of SYFYS’s original show Channel Zero stated on Twitter that after the seasons wrap up “ he’s passing the studio over to @RealDonMancini and Charles Lee Ray.”

From the directorial and executive perspective its looks like the film is getting it’s go ahead and that Fiona Dourif will be making her come back as the wheel chair bound Nica Pierce who at the end of The Curse of Chucky was being framed and locked away in a mental institution for Chucky’s murderous spree.
Jennifer Tilly and Brad Dourif are also confirmed to reprise their roles as Chucky and Tiffany. With a 2017 release date to be slapped on the film I have high hopes that the next installment will return the franchise to it’s horror comedy root’s. Keep posted for updates.
