Cinematographer Bojan Bazelli Reunites With Gore Verbinski On ‘Gambit’

Nov 28, 2017

Pre-production is ramping up on Fox’s X-Men spinoff Gambit as we’ve previously reported scouting is underway in New Orleans and we suspect that stage space at Big Easy Studios (used for Fox’s Logan and Dawn of The Planet of The Apes) is being reserved. As production is expected to take place between February and July of next year.

A new crew hiring has been revealed to us as cinematographer Bojan Bazelli has joined Gambit as the film’s director of photography. Bojan has a long history working with director Gore Verbinski going back to The Ring. His other credits include Mr. and Mrs. Smith, The Lone Ranger, A Cure For Wellness, Pete’s Dragon, Spectral, and King of New York.

Another interesting crew addition previously pointed out by Omega Underground is Coen Brothers alumni Jess Gonchor, who will production design the film.

The next big step will be to finalize the cast.

Gambit is set for release on February 14th, 2019.
