Collared Workshop Mutant Spotted On ‘Deadpool 2’ Set

Aug 19, 2017

Another set photo from Deadpool 2 sent to Omega Underground reveals a character in yellow that clearly has one of those Workshop mutant collars from the first film around his neck.

We’ve blown up the image where you can clearly see the actor wearing a collar similar to the ones placed upon the mutants created in Ajax’s Workshop. It’s possible the film could be exploring what happens to the mutants after they’re sold-off or maybe who is really behind the Workshop (Black Tom, Mister Sinister or Candy Man?).

I wouldn’t be terribly shocked if new addition Julian Dennison plays an important young mutant who has escaped in the sequel. A “boy” was mentioned in those Deadpool 2 audition tapes we uncovered and alluded to Cable as well. That teddy bear Cable has on his belt might just belong to Julian’s character.

The same source posted a photo of Jack Kesy in a motion capture outfit and mentioned him having a prop head as well. Not unlike the one used for the Colossus actor on the first film. We’ve been theorizing that this could mean Kesy is likely playing a villain like Cain Marko aka Juggernaut. Kesy was seen shooting scenes with a couple of these actors dressed in yellow.

We tend to be right about these things and have a strong record when it comes to X-Men reveals.

Previously, we were able to reveal/confirm the Reavers and Donald Pierce‘s (Boyd Holbrook) robotic arm on the set of the super-secretive Logan. Not to mention confirming Dafne Keen as X-23 ahead of the official trailer release. Omega Underground was also the first to confirm Colossus for Deadpool via set photos. Along with being the ones to reveal the Shi’ar Empire for X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Deadpool 2 is set for release on June 1st, 2018.
