Who knew the addition of another dead president could be so impactful on an already awesome series? And what a surprise, the additions of Thomas Jefferson and George Washington have moved John Adams down to No. 3 on my “U.S. President Vampires” list. But enough about them. I’m more interested in how Washington’s involvement has impacted another character over the last few issues, but especially in Killadelphia #21.

It really wasn’t until this issue that I fully appreciated Seesaw’s name. Rodney Barnes and Jason Shawn Alexander have tested this guy so many times, and it’s only getting tougher for him. Seesaw is clearly trying to take in as much information as possible to make the best decision he can, but I honestly don’t know where he goes from here. Does he join Washington and those who turned him? Does he run with their idea but on his own? Or does he take a different route? I’m hoping for the second of the three options, but he really could go in any direction.
Killadelphia #21 also does a serious amount of world building in short order. Barnes and Alexander provide another layer of vampire history, and it sure is something. One has to wonder at this point just how far back things will go.
Also, Killadelphia #21 introduces a new problem for the vampires. Love Alexander’s design for said problem. Love how he and Barnes continue to enrich the lore surrounding some of these characters. Simply put: I love everything about where Killadelphia is positioned.
