Recently, we learned that Disney’s next film project based on a theme park ride would be Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson and directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.
A while back we had reported that the film was aiming for an April production start with locations including Atlanta and an undisclosed South American country.
Well, we can now confirm from other sources it will indeed shoot in Atlanta.
Based on Disneyland’s theme park ride where a small riverboat takes a group of travelers through a jungle filled with dangerous animals and reptiles.
Johnson has filmed multiple projects in the area recently with Jumanji and Rampage.
It’s expected the film will land a 2019-2020 release date.
