CONFIRMED: ‘Venom’ Indeed Shooting In Atlanta and Working Title ‘Antidote’ Reaffirmed

Jul 28, 2017

Omega Underground has been trying to gather production and character information for Sony’s upcoming Venom spinoff directed by Ruben Fleischer and it seems some of our previous info has been confirmed.

An official listing for Antidote (Venom) has been posted on the Georgia state production website. Confirming our previous information about the film’s working title and that it will be shot in the Atlanta area (not unlike Spider-Man: Homecoming).

Venom is also expected to film a portion in New York City as well.

The Spider-Man spinoff is said to be taking cues from the films (body horror?) of John Carpenter and David Cronenberg, alluding to Venom taking an R-rated horror approach. It’s been reported that Carnage will be the film’s main villain with an audition tape we uncovered confirming previous reports that She-Venom could be in the film and it’s R-rating (F-bombs galore).

Tom Hardy stars in Venom as Eddie Brock with an expected production start date of September 1st.
