Creative Team Set For Netflix’s Live-Action ‘Witcher’ Series?

Nov 5, 2017

Months ago it was announced that Netflix would be producing a live-action series based on the novels and video game franchise The Witcher.

Producer Tomek Baginski (Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac) was previously said to be directing some episodes. The new addition is seasoned TV writer Thania St. John (Grimm, Eureka, Roswell), who is expected be adapting it with creative consultant Andrzej Sapkowski.

Baginski earned an Oscar nomination for his 2002 animated short film The Cathedral, he’s also been working on the video game cinematics and was announced officially as a producer on the series in the initial press release.

There isn’t any word concerning casting or when this could begin shooting. However, Netflix has posted the official synopsis for the series.

The witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.
