Recently, director Chad Stahelski had teased to Collider in an interview about starting production on John Wick: Chapter 3 as soon as this fall.
Well, Hollywood Reporter has confirmation that script work is underway as Wick creator Derek Kolstad is already working on it. Also, mentioning that Chad will be working with him on the story with the possibility of a return to direct as well.
Chapter 3 is being fast-tracked to start production this fall with Reeves expected to reprise his role of beleaguered hitman John Wick. Chad Stahelski, who co-directed the first movie with Derek Leitch and sat solo behind the camera for the second one, is working with Kolstad and developing the project with an eye to direct it.
If franchise partner/producer David Leitch is expected to return for the shoot, as he has for the last two films. Our expectation is that production would take place between October and November. As David will be busy with Deadpool 2 until it wraps on September 18th.
There have been hints that locations in the third film could include Tokyo and Jerlusum, as Wick now attempts to take on the notorious High Table.
We have an expectation that the film’s release date could land between November 2018 and March 2019.
