What can be said about the latest issue of Crossover? What the actual … how can a series get better and more intense with each new issue? Crossover #12 blew my mind! The cover art perfectly captures what will happen as soon as you are done with this issue. Wow. This is probably — no not probably. This is the best book out now.

BRUTAL BLOODY VIOLENCE

Oh man, oh man, oh man! This issue picks up with a back flash. And boy is it done tremendously, Wow! The age-old question, why is Negan such a violent and vengeful person? even when not appearing in The Walking Dead. The dude is violence incarnate, and it is bloody terrific. Terrifying yes, but still terrific. This was one epic issue, to say the least, the first couple of pages are gruesome. Okay, so let’s break it down, the latest issue has violence, shock, and awe factor, brilliant writing Ellie and Ryan (although not much of them). And on top of all of this the start of the showdown between Negan, Pilgrim and Walker. Oh yeah, and a prison break, all of this epicness in one issue.

the amazing art of Crossover

Yet again, the art is on point. The style might have a different look and feel to it in the first couple of pages, but that’s because Geoff Shaw wasn’t the only one credited as an artist this time around. Phil Hester and Klaus Janson joined in the issue and you can see the awesome work in the opening pages.

Final Thought.

Yet again, we need to wait till the next issue hits shelves. And yet again, when the issue ends, you’re left wanting more — so much more. From the start of the series, you could tell this was going to be special. This issue really had my mind blown, from the sheer grotesque violence to the character development and building. Crossover should become the industry standard to what every other comic is measured against. This is bloody brilliant!
