The recent Dallas Comic Con Fan Days took place October 16th-18th at the Irving Convention Center.  This is one of the more organized conventions I have seen. Luckily the Irving Center provides 4 floors so each of the events, booths and panels could be scattered throughout the floors. The 1st floor featured all the vendors and artists, the 3rd floor featured the Photo Ops, Cosplay Hideaway and an area to game and the 4th floor featured the Grand Ballroom.

Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa, was in attendance. As well as Battlestar Galactica’s   Edward James Olmos, X-Men’s Shawn Ashmore and brother Aaron Ashmore.

There was also small Xena reunion with Lucy Lawless and Renee O’Connor. Lucy even recreated her amazing battle cry, which I had completely dropped the ball on recording.

I attended the Q & A Session with Ralph Macchio, Martin Kove and William Zabka from the original Karate Kid. This was a film I grew up watching. They discussed taking karate classes, what it was like working with the late Pat Morita, and how ridiculous they thought the title of the film was.

The convention has a great selection of artists, one of my personal favorites Sam De La Rosa was in attendance. Sam inked several issues from Star Wars, Indiana Jones to the epic Venom: Lethal Protector.

I have to give a shout out to the The Star Garrison of the 501st Legion who were there occupying the 3rd floor and brought a full fleet of Star Wars characters for guests to pose with. Photo ops were free, and the group took donations for money and toys to go out to Toys For Tots.

Below are some of the images of some of my favorite cosplay during the event. If you were at this event and would like to share with us your cosplay photos, post them in the comments below.
