After days of speculation, rumors and online petitions, Fox may have found a director to take over directing duties from Tim Miller on the Deadpool sequel. According to Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, John Wick Co-Director David Leitch has met with both Ryan Reynolds and Fox producers about helming the highly anticipated sequel.

Leitch is no stranger to both the action movie world and the comic book movie world. He was the assistant stunt coordinator on V for Vendetta, stunt coordinator for Tron Legacy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and 2nd unit director for Captain America: Civil War. He’s recently completed directing Charlize Theron in The Coldest City, based on the graphic novel by Antony Johnston.

While I am ever hopeful that Fox and Tim Miller can come together and work out their differences, I will continue to be excited for the next film featuring my favorite “merc with a mouth” whomever is directing it. Who’s your pick to direct the sequel? Leave your comments below.
