Today in some strange news The Tracking Board is reporting that DC Comics is moving forward with a buddy-cop team-up movie in Booster Gold and Blue Beetle. They go onto reveal that Arrow and The Flash’s executive producer Greg Berlnati is set to actually direct the film. That in of itself makes this story far-fetched Berlanti has only really flirted with film. He helped pen Green Lantern and un-made Flash screenplays and also produced this years Pan. He has directed one feature film and that was 2010’s Life As We Know It starring Josh Duhamel and Katherine Heigl.
Now while DC Comics or Greg Berlanti has yet to comment on this rumor it is entirely possible this could actually be for the long rumored Booster Gold TV Series with Gerg Berlanti behind that project. Which honestly makes far more sense than a movie…
UPDATE – Jeff Sneider from The Wrap has since confirmed on this weeks episode of Meet The Movie Press that the film is indeed in development.
