While speaking with IGN, director Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kong: Skull Island) has revealed that he has turned in the latest draft of the Metal Gear Solid script to Sony as it recently underwent rewrites from Derek Connelly.

“Ah… we actually just turned in the script… and I think it’s one of the best scripts I’ve ever read. It’s one of the coolest, weirdest, most Kojima things. Even being involved with it, I look at it as someone who was, like, I would make the hell out of this movie. But if I wasn’t involved in it, then I would still look at that script and be like holy shit!”

Jordan has been posting “fan art” on his Twitter account from artists already hired to the Metal Gear Solid’ production design team/art department, which does sound like he’s about to make a big film announcement by the end of his 31 days of art for the 31st Anniversary of the Metal Gear franchise.

An official movie announcement feels incoming.

A production start or release date has yet to be announced.
