Director Micheal Bay Eyeing To Helm DC Comics ‘Lobo’ ?

Feb 9, 2018

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced DC Comics is keen on once again reviving the long-in-development project for Lobo. The studio has been trying to make the film for over a decade with Will Smith (Deadshot) and Dwayne Johnson (Black Adam) attached at one time or another. Jason Momoa (Aquaman) has also been interested in playing the foul mouthed alien mercenary. Now according to today’s report the studio and Transformers director Micheal Bay have a few discussions revolving the film.

The report stresses that negotiations have not even begun between the two. However, the studio and director are looking at scaling back the current iteration of the script so that it wouldn’t need the $200 million dollar budget it ia currently sitting at. If the studio was able to scale back the project it would keep the director interested and they would go from there.

Back in 2016 action star Danny Trejo also teased that he would be interested in playing the character when he posted a fan art image of him as Lobo on his Twitter account:
