While it’s seemingly taken a long time to get to, Disney is finally giving us a real look at into what Brad Bird’s (The Incredibles, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocal, The Iron Giant) new film Tomorrowland is all about. The first teaser gave us a glimpse into the world, as did the Super Bowl spot, but it still left us with a lot of questions, and a real sense of awe and wonder. The new trailer finally gives us a look into the story, the characters, and the world that Bird and writer/producer Damon Lindelof have in store for us, and it looks very promising and fun.
The trailer hits all the right notes, promising something fun, exciting, and different than anything else we’re likely to see this year. For a big blockbuster film, it looks incredibly original, which seems very rare these days of franchising and IPs. I’m glad to see that Bird and Lindelof will get a chance to do something they seem so passionate about with Tomorrowland, and I really can’t wait to see the final product unveiled. This trailer really got me excited about what’s to come, and it honestly reminded me of why I go to the movies, for the adventure and wonder it creates.
Tomorrowland opens on May 22, 2015.
