Disney’s Live-Action ‘Mulan’ Remake Begins Filming this January in China and New Zealand

Today, we at Omega Underground have uncovered the production dates on Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of Mulan. According to the recent listing by My Entertainment World, Mulan begins production in late January 2018. They will also be shooting in China, New Zealand and Australia:


No one has been cast as Mulan but a casting call went out in late 2016 looking for a Chinese actress that could speak both Mandarin and English. Originally the film was going to film in spring 2017 but was pushed back. The Whale Rider director Niki Caro has also boarded as the director of Mulan.

Mulan will hit sometime in 2019
