Disney’s Live-Action ‘Mulan’ Set For November 2018 Release Date

Disney has announced the fast-tracking release date for their live-action adaptation of Mulan for November 2nd, 2018.

The film has been fast-tracked into production with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver penning the script.

Jason Reed is attached to produce along with Chris Bender and Jake Weiner.

Writing duo Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver will be tackling the script. The pair are best known for films like Avatar 2, Jurassic World, In The Heart of The Sea, Rise of The Planet of The Apes and Dawn of The Planet of The Apes.

It’s late 2018 release date suggests a director and cast will be announced soon.

The original 1998 Disney animated film is based on the mythical Chinese poem of a legendary of a female warrior.

Mulan, the only child of her honored family. When the Huns invade China, one man from every family is called to arms. Mulan’s father, who has an old wound and cannot walk properly, decides to fight for his country and the honor of his family though it is clear that he will not survive an enemy encounter.
