“It’s always tough turning 40, but what better way to mark the occasion than a one-night stand with Shudder, the spookiest of streamers? It’s going to be the ultimate Hallow-anniversa-ween bash, and you don’t want to miss it,” said Elvira.

Elvira. The Queen of Halloween. Known for her pair of voluptuous… pumpkins, and great head… of hair, has rocked our world for forty years. I know, I know, I can’t believe it either. But here we are, at the precipice of her 40th anniversary, which is being celebrated over at Shudder, the home of horror.

On September 25, Shudder is releasing “Elvira’s 40th Anniversary, Very Scary, Very Special Special,” a one-night event in the midst of their 61 Days of Halloween, where the Mistress of the Dark herself returns to host a four-film lineup, which, of course, includes her film, “Elvira: Mistress of the Dark.” The other three films are classics as well: “House on Haunted Hill” (the original, with the OG, Vincent Price), “The City of the Dead” (with another horror OG, Christopher Lee), and “Messiah of Evil.”

However, don’t worry if you can’t make the premiere, the special will be available on-demand, starting September 27th. We all have to see this, right? I need to see this.

(I love Elvira).

If you can’t wait for the special, below is the promo created and released by Shudder to get you excited for this momentous occasion! Watch if you dare!

Will you be tuning in later this September to be a part of the celebrations?

Actually, if you really want to celebrate, did you know Funko released a 40th Anniversary Elvira POP! figure? I say, let’s get the figure, and place it next to us while we watch the special. A little mini Elvira to accompany us. No? Yes? Do I sound excited? That’s because I am.

Shudder. September 25th. Be there!
