Deadline is reporting that Emily VanCamp will be reprising her role from Winter Soldier in Captain America: Civil War, she will be back as Sharon Carter aka Agent 13. ABC recently cancelled her series Revenge which likely gives her plenty of time to return to the MCU. Carter has since quit SHEILD and signed-up with the C.I.A., I’m curious how she’ll figure into the sequel.
Returning cast members include Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Renner, Frank Grillo, Elizabeth Olsen, and Anthony Mackie. Rumors suggest that William Hurt, Don Cheadle and Paul Bettany will also be returning, as well as newbies Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily.
The new cast members that will be making their MCU debut include Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, Daniel Bruhl as Zemo, and Martin Freeman rumored to be playing government agent Everett Ross. Not to mention the actor who will be playing the new Spider-Man, which at the moment is looking like it could be British actor Asa Butterfield.
Civil War comes out May 6th, 2016.
