The reboot is meta and educational, which echoes what the original show tried to accomplish. Animaniacs blazed the trail for comedy fit for kids with bills; real children need not be necessary. And the new series shows that they can still do it. The original voice cast did a phenomenal job coming back. Actors like Rob Paulsen just bring the characters to life after being couped up in that water tower for 22 years. They bring the same energy to the songs on this soundtrack.

Animaniacs Original Series

The Animaniacs show initially aired in 1993 and ran on Fox Kids, staying for four seasons. Although it only ran for four years, it left an impression on all those who enjoyed it. Those kids are now adults in love with nostalgia. It has been a blast to sit back and get a joke that totally flew over my head as a kid.

Animaniacs Reboot

Enter the Animaniacs reboot that successfully premiered on Hulu in 2020. It brought back the stories and characters that we can share with our kids. It is the first family-oriented Hulu Original Show, and I’m all here for it.

The Warner Bros and their Warner Sister Dot are grossly lacking in their understanding of personal space. The Warner Bros water tower serves as the Warners’ haunt when not having a great time wreaking havoc on the Warner movie lot. In the meantime, Brain plots to achieve world domination day after day, and Pinky is right there to “help.”

The soundtrack came at the perfect time as we all discovered that Hulu had acquired the rights to all episodes of Animaniacs and Tiny Toons, which made this fan’s heart go pitter-patter. They also announced that Animaniacs would get more seasons. To celebrate, I am jamming out to the sound of childhood. My boys also love it, and it’s been a blast sharing a wee part of me as a kid. I think it’s fun for them to see parents being silly and laughing at a joke on the kids’ show instead of just tolerating them.

The above videos are just two of the great songs you’ll catch on the soundtrack. Some of the songs are expanded from their original aired footage and are available to add to your favorite playlist. Some of the songs blend with modern music to make them easy to listen to more than once, while others are more one-timers.
