FIRST LOOK: ‘Alien: Covenant’ Set Photos From New Zealand

Mar 31, 2016

Alien: Covenant is about to start shooting soon and we already have our first set photos from the film.

Scified and AVPGalaxy were able to nab a couple of these set photos from the location build in Fiordland, New Zealand. It’s original source Otago Daily Times took the the photos off their website and we expect the studio will be attempting to scrub these pictures off the internet, like they did with Prometheus set images.

Although, the free promotion for the film wouldn’t hurt. They blocked leaked set photos for Prometheus and that likely contributed to the film’s confusion with audiences and it’s underwhelming final box office numbers.

I’d assume this is possibly a piece of the colony ship Covenant.

It was rumored that production could take place in New Zealand and this is confirmation of sorts this is actually going down.

We are quite aware that Fox will be asking us soon to take these down, so get them while you can.

Set ten years after the events of Prometheus, David is the only survivor of the crew and comes into contact with a colony ship named Covenant.

The rather large cast includes Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Alex England, Callie Hernandez and Benjamin Rigby.

Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant is set for release on August 4th, 2017.
