Mega producer Jerry Bruckheimer has tweeted out the first official look at Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. It looks like he’s in trouble as usual, let’s just hope the film turns out a bit better than the last two movies.
Newcomers to the franchise include Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites, Javier Bardem, and Adam Brown. Returning to the fray include Geoffrey Rush, Kevin McNally, Stephen Graham, and Martin Klebba.
“Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp) finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea, including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.”
There’s talk that Will Turner’s ship the Flying Dutchman will make a return, along with Orlando Bloom.
Dead Men Tell No Tales is set to cast it’s sails on July 7th, 2017.
