FIRST LOOK: Cate Blanchett and Jeff Goldblum as The Villains of ‘Thor: Rangarnok’

EntertainmentWeekly has posted a batch of images from Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok revealing how colorful the film will be. We assume taking a bit of cosmic influence from Guardians of The Galaxy while director Taika Waititi is still giving its own visual stamp.

We get our first looks at the film’s villains with Cate Blanchett as Hela Goddess of Death and Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster. Also, the first official look at Tessa Thompson as fellow Avenger member Valkyrie along with Thor’s new gladiatorial look.

The film takes cues from the Planet Hulk story and will help to set up Avengers: Infinity War.

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

We’re still waiting to get first official looks at fellow villain Skurge The Executioner played by Karl Urban, Surtur,  and Fenris Wolf. We are also expected to see a handful of Planet Hulk characters as well during the sequences on Sakaar. had

Ragnarok will be released on November 3rd, 2017.
