What was your first Cosplay experience?
Very hectic! I remember attempting to do 5 cosplays for Anime Expo back in 2012 and boy that was a challenge of its own. My first cosplay I did was Sexy-no-jitsu Kakashi, konan from Naruto, Blair from Soul Eater, Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland and Shurelia from Ar Tonelico.

How long have you been Cosplaying?
I started working on my first cosplay around May 2012 just before Anime Expo in the summer.

Who or what inspired you to take up Cosplaying?
I started off as a video gamer and wanting to become one of the characters in Final Fantasy. My passion for costume design passed on from my mother and grandmother who was a seamstress, I always had amazing Halloween costumes each year!

If you had to pick a favorite Cosplay you have worn, or have seen someone else wear, what would it be?
Amazon from Dragon’s Crown, mainly because I love cosplaying characters that are not overly cosplayed; I fell in love with the character cause of her physique and strong personality.

If you had unlimited funds and resources, what Cosplay would you create?
I love the Ar Tonelico series and I wanted to build my favorite character Shurelia, her Officer Mecha form seen here: http://bit.ly/1CWWwES

What advice would you offer to those who are aspiring Cosplayers?
Just have fun and do not be afraid to come up with interesting new ideas such as cross overs, or putting a new twist on the character design. I think at times being not so original could be the most fun! Remember to do research first, and do not be afraid to ask around for advice on how to make stuff, because the resources are out there! What I consider a cosplay is like a jack of all trades, always learning something new and having fun as you go along with it.
