A new report from The Wrap says that 20th Century Fox is indeed moving forward with a sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service, that’s basically all the information we’re given. There’s no word on writers and if Matthew Vaughn will return to direct, since he’s in-talks to direct a huge Flash Gordon reboot for the studio along with developing many other comic book projects at Fox.
Taron Egerton would be expected to return as Eggsy, but with rumors he could take a role in Star Wars: Rogue One or another Star Wars Anthology project, this might lead to an extensive contract with Lucasfilm. I assume he signed-up for sequels in his original contract but you never know, if Vaughn doesn’t return it might be harder to have certain cast members come back. I think we all remember what happened with Kick-Ass 2 without Vaughn, turning out a less then impressive than the original.
