FX’s ‘Y: The Last Man’ TV Series Sets Production This August in New York City

Jul 4, 2018

Last week it was revealed that Artemis Hotel actress Jodie Foster was in talks to join FX’s upcoming Y: The Last Man TV Series. The report from That Hashtag Show mentions that production is expected to begin in late-July. However, we at Omega Underground have learned that production on  the series is expected to begin August 22nd in New York City. This small push on the production may be due to the fact a lead has yet to be cast on the long-in-development TV show.

The Vertigo/DC comic series revolves around Yorick Brown — the last surviving human with a Y chromosome — and his Capuchin monkey, Ampersand. The series follows escape artist Yorick after a mysterious plague as he sets out to find what might have wiped out the male chromosome.

Melina Matsoukas (Master of None) is set to direct the pilot for FX.

Y: The Last Man hits FX next year
