Rising talent Gabriel Chavarria (Low Riders) has landed a lead role in Fox’s third installment of their rebooted Apes franchise. War of The Planet of The Apes will see the return of Matt Reeves who will act as writer and director this time around, with production set to start in October, returning to Vancouver to shoot it.
Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke and other cast members from Dawn are expected to return for the sequel. Gabriel is said to play one of two human leads in the film, but since there is an army coming I doubt that’ll be the case.
