Gabriel Luna Suggests ‘Ghost Rider’ Netflix Series Could Happen; Wants Blade On The West Coast

Nov 9, 2016

During an interview with ComicBook,  Ghost Rider actor Gabriel Luna revealed that Marvel has deals in place for a Ghost Rider franchise that could include a Netflix series.

It’s been talked about, there’s definitely deals in place for that potential. But I just take it one day at a time. I have so much fun now I just want to make sure I get these episodes right. If they throw more episodes on my plate, I will do my best to do well with those stories as well.

Rumors have been circling ever since Marvel got the rights back from Sony that they’d attempt a Ghost Rider Netflix series similar to their Daredevil and Punisher series. If it was set on the west coast and shot during the hiatus of Agents of SHIELD that could work.

Luna also echoes our own desire to see Midnight Sons on Netflix along with seeing more shows on the west coast including Blade the vampire hunter. A Blade series has been long-rumored as well and could make for an interesting partner or enemy.

“I’d love to see more west coast heroes, we could bring Blade out here. “

We previously wrote about Marvel’s horror universe being suited for the Netflix universe and setting these shows on the west coast could help Marvel TV shoot/release more new shows on a regular basis. As their New York division is obviously handling Defenders properties, the west coast could be tackling Midnight Sons characters like Rider, Blade, Morbius, Hannibal KingMoon Knight and Jack Russell.
