Gerard Butler Will Once Again Save The President In ‘Angel Has Fallen’

Oct 26, 2016

We’ve had Olympus Has Fallen, then this year we had London Has Fallen and if things go to plan for Millennium Films we shall see Angel Has Fallen by 2018.

Gerard Butler who stars in the “Has Fallen” franchise as the ass whooping, gun-toting, weird American accent, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning will reprise the role once again. The studio is looking to get the threequel up and running as early as the beginning of 2017.

The first film was set in the Whitehouse (codename: Olympus), the second in London and the third seemingly going by the title, will be set onboard the President’s aircraft, Air Force One. Which codename is Angel.

There’s no news if any of the cast from the previous two films will return yet. Surely they couldn’t do it without Aaron Eckhart’s as President? If anyone is to reprise their role I’d bet my house that it’s Morgan Freeman as VP Alan Trumbull. It’s unclear if director Babak Najafi will return after taking the reigns over from Antoine Fuqua for the sequel.

London Has Fallen wasn’t as good as it’s predecessor Olympus, especially the CGI but it still managed to bag $195.7m at the worldwide box office on a $60m budget.
