We recently revealed that Legendary Pictures and director Adam Wingard are aiming to begin filming Godzilla vs Kong on October 1st in Atlanta, Georgia.
A new crew addition Omega Underground has learned is Aussie production designer Owen Paterson. His credits include Godzilla, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Matrix Trilogy, Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, V For Vendetta, and Speed Racer.
We assume he’ll be working alongside fellow production designer Thomas Hammock (Blair Witch, The Guest) on the massive crossover as Thomas had been previously attached to the project (nothing at the moment says Thomas has exited) as reported by us. It’s not uncommon for large projects to have two production designers sharing the workload.
This would suggest that pre-production could be underway.
Godzilla vs Kong is set for release on March 22nd, 2020.
