‘Godzilla vs Kong’ Heading Back To Australia and Hawaii

Jul 11, 2018

A while back we revealed that Adam Wingard’s Godzilla vs Kong would be returning to shoot in Atlanta, Georgia this fall. We now have a couple of other locations for the film.

Omega Underground has learned that the film will return to shoot in Australia and Hawaii. It remains to be seen if they’ll be filming in Sydney or in Gold Coast.

The return to Oahu, Hawaii as a location was also recently mentioned by our friends at ReelNewsHawaii, which we can back up with our own information.

Kong: Skull Island shot scenes in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii and Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia (Village Roadshow Studios).

Godzilla filmed scenes in Honolulu as well.

There is an assumption that they will be making a return to Skull Island in the kaiju crossover.

Legendary shot a bulk of Pacific Rim: Uprising in Australia in Brisbane, Sydney (Fox Studios), and Gold Coast.

The cast is expected to include Millie Bobby Brown, Julian Dennison, and Kyle Chandler.

As we revealed previously production is expected to begin October 1st.

Godzilla vs Kong is set for release on May 22nd, 2020.
