‘Gotham City Sirens’ Eyeing Release Date In 2018 Alongside ‘Aquaman’ and ‘The Batman’

Dec 15, 2016

The shake-up at Warner Bros. doesn’t end with Greg Silverman departure from the DC Comics cinematic universe, as Forbes is painting a picture of an actually badass sounding release schedule in 2018.

Delays with The Flash and Justice League 2 has seen other projects stepping up to take their place.

First, Warner Bros. dropped confirmation recently in a Deadline article that Ben Affleck’s The Batman would be ready for release in 2018. Mark Hughes at Forbes has expanded upon this revealing it’s release date will come before Aquaman‘s new October date, after being shifted out of the summer slot.

James Wan‘s Aquaman will shoot on the Gold Coast of Australia with talk of possible fall location shoot in Italy as well. They claim the move has to do with Wan needing the extra post-production time for the heavy-effects of the film, which sounds understandable.

Forbes also seeming reveals that David Ayer’s Gotham City Sirens starring Margot Robbie as the returning Harley Quinn, could also be ready for 2018 release date. That would of course mean the film would have to be ready to shoot this year. Ayer recently reaffirming that Poison Ivy and Catwoman would of course be in the female centric villain flick.

“…as Warner fast-tracks Harley Quinn’s spinoff all-female team-up movie Gotham City Sirens for a possible 2018 release alongside The Batman and Aquaman. “
