‘Gotham City Sirens’ Screenwriter Geneva Robertson-Dworet Joins ‘Captain Marvel’ Script Team

Aug 15, 2017

Deadline reports that screenwriter Geneva Robertson-Dworet will be replacing Meg LeFeuve as co-writer on the Captain Marvel script. It’s been revealed in the story that Meg had to leave the project to co-direct her film Gigantic for Disney Animation.

Fellow co-writer Nicole Perlman is expected to keep working on the film.

Geneva’s credits include the new Tomb Raider reboot for Warner Bros. along with the Suicide Squad spin-off Gotham CIty Sirens. It sounds like she has completed work on the latter if she’s now entertaining new projects.

The film is said to incorporate the Kree-Skrull War and is set in the 1990s. Marvel has also confirmed we’ll see a younger Nick Fury paired with Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers.

Captain Marvel is still aiming for a January production start in Los Angeles with a release date set for March 8th, 2019.
