What was your first Cosplay experience?
I learnt about cosplay 5 years after I’d started cosplaying (I began in 2001 and found out about cosplay as a social phenomenon in 2006). I used to go to a sewing club and I made Usagi Tsukino’s, from Sailor Moon, school-form there. I used it as a casual clothes and also worn it at school. I didn’t know that it was “cosplay”, I just enjoyed bringing my favorite characters from fairytales and cartoons to reality. I didn’t know about cosplay arrangements, so I made costumes for school-parties, because I really wanted to perform.

In 2006, my teacher from the Art school found an announcement in a newspaper about a cosplay party. I was very surprised and happy to find out that there was such a phenomenon as cosplay, and that there were many other people who were interested in it.
By that time I had already made some costumes. I knew I couldn’t miss my chance, so I took a costume of Lina Inverse from The Slayers, and went to that party. Unexpectedly, I won the first place in a cosplay contest. Since then I’ve went to many festivals and performed there.

How long have you been Cosplaying?
2001 – 2015

Who or what inspired you to take up Cosplaying?
I’ve always loved creativity and planning out different images.

If you had to pick a favorite Cosplay you have worn, or have seen someone else wear, what would it be?
I like many costumes that I’ve worn. If to choose from the last – Yennefer of Vengerberg from The Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski. I love these books.

If you had unlimited funds and resources, what Cosplay would you create?
First of all everything depends on inspiration. If there is an inspiration – it is possible to make any difficult cosplay, but if the inspiration isn’t present – than even having unlimited resources, you will make nothing. The main thing that the image which you do, was pleasant to you, the rest isn’t so important. Therefore, I don’t know how to answer this question specifically.

What advice would you offer to those who are aspiring Cosplayers?
It is necessary to believe in himself. For a start it is possible to choose a simple image and to ask to help with a costume from relatives or friends, plus now on the Internet is a set of tutorial. Gradually the more the person will do — the more experience at him will appear. It will turn out better and better each time.
