Recently, it was revealed by writer-director James Gunn that the title for the next Guardians film will indeed be Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3.

On that note, we have a small production update to share.

Things look to move into pre-production this summer as we’ve learned that production designer Beth Mickle (The Deuce, Drive, Only God Forgives) has joined the film’s crew. She had once been attached to work on The Flash movie but has seemingly moved on due to it’s extended hiatus.

We’ve previously reported that Guardians 3 is expected to begin filming in Atlanta starting in February.

Ayesha and Adam Warlock are assumed to appear, there is also a chance that The Eternals could be introduced either here or Avengers 4 ahead of their solo film.

Considering Beth’s working relationship with Ryan Gosling (worked on Ryan’s directorial effort Lost River), could we see him end up playing Adam Warlock?

It’s just our speculation but after Jake Gyllenhaal possibly playing a Spider-Man villain anything seems possible casting-wise. Gosling had once been linked for meeting with Marvel for Doctor Strange and was said to be in the mix for the Mysterio role.

It’s assumed that it will nab that May 2020 release date but has yet to be confirmed.
