PC gaming isn’t as simple as console gaming. After all, there are so many different variables that you need to take into account, and if you don’t then you may find that your performance suffers more than you realize.

Upgrade your Graphics Card

Believe it or not, your graphics card is actually the centerpiece of your entire PC gaming experience. That being said, you can’t unlock its true potential unless you have the right software installed. If you want to help yourself here, then you need to make sure that you upgrade your card if possible and that you also have the latest version for the driver too. If you are stuck for what graphics card you should get, then AMD or Nvidia are the way to go. Intel graphics cards are normally found on notebooks and they are probably the weakest out of the bunch. For this reason, if you get the chance to upgrade this, you certainly should. If you can’t upgrade your graphics card, then that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy online gaming at all. In fact, online slots are very easy to play and they don’t require a lot of power from your PC either.

Supercharge your Graphics Card

Your gaming performance relies on your graphic’s card, as mentioned above. If you want to take things to that next level, then you may want to think about pushing the card beyond the factory speed settings. This is otherwise known as overclocking. Around 10 years ago, overclocking would pose a risk to your hardware because it would significantly heat up your system and it may even turn off as a result. Nowadays however it’s possible for you to overclock your card by up to 20% without having to worry about this at all.

Your Windows PC will keep on getting slower with the more programs you install. This will have a huge impact on the games that you have. If you want to boost your efforts here, then you need to download a tune-up program. AVG has a great one that you can use. When you do this, you will be able to uninstall programs that you don’t use, and you may even find that you can reduce the impact of the ones that you don’t use very often too.

SSDs are way faster when compared to mechanical hard disks. This won’t boost the frame rate of your game, but it will significantly reduce your loading times, which is always a good thing. If you want to help yourself here, then you need to try and opt for an SSD that has more than 250GB. A lot of games in this day and age are up to 20GB, sometimes more, so you want to make sure that you have plenty of room to get everything installed without having to push your system too hard or even without having to upgrade again in the near future.
