‘Iron Fist’s Lewis Tan Who Plays Villain Zhou Cheng Posts Stunt Training Video

Lewis Tan will be playing the Marvel villain Zhou Cheng in the Iron Fist series on Netflix coming in March and he’s taken to Twitter to show-off his stunt work for fans. If Finn Jones (Danny Rand), Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing) and other actors on the show are training this hard, the fight sequences should be something special for sure.

screen-shot-2016-10-07-at-11-04-43-pmCheng is one of a couple villains and heroes said to be getting their debut in the series, with rumors suggesting that big bad Steel Serpent and fellow hero Shang-Chi would be also be apart of Iron Fist.

Nicknamed the Servant of the Ch’i-Lin, for seventy-five years has been killing Iron Fists in the hopes to help his master the demon Ch’i-Lin find and eat the egg of the dragon Shou-Lao The Undying. This mystical dragon is known for granting warriors who defeat him with the power of the Iron Fist.

Cheng, when possessed by the Ch’i-Lin, had extraordinary strength, speed, stamina and durability, presumably on superhuman levels. He could focus on the chi of Shou-Lao, which gives every person to hold the mantle of Iron Fist their astonishing talents, to telegraph their moves and stay one step ahead of them.

Basically, Zhou is one bad dude and powerful enough to take down previous Fists over many decades and could become quite the nemesis for Danny. Hopefully his character gets a little more motivation as the series progresses.

We have no idea what the Netflix take on this villain will be and if Ch’i-Lin will have possessed a human host, or an actual person. However, considering all the weird stuff going in Daredevil with The Hand it’s not entirely nutty to think they’re going to go for it in Iron Fist.

One of the many concerns fans have had about the kung-fu series, actually showcasing convincing stunt work. It looks like we won’t have to worry about Lewis delivering some exciting action in the show.

Iron Fist drops on March 17th, 2017 on Netflix.
