I’m currently in a fragile state, you could say I’m hung over. But this isn’t stopping me from loving the new trailer for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2!
The trailer has reminded me of how much I’ve missed this group of rag-tag heroes and what makes it even better is Baby Groot.
We have Star-Lord back leading the Guardians, and Drax nailing the jokes. We don’t see much of Gamora, bar a couple of action shots. Even though Baby Groot is cute, don’t let him fool you. He still packs a punch. Rocket stands out again, and his relationship with Baby Groot is going to bring some chaotic greatness to the Marvel Cinematic Universe that I can’t wait to feast my eyes on.
At the end of the trailer it introduces us to one of the films exiting new characters in Mantis (played by Pom Klementieff). She’s got that quirkiness that will make her fit right in with the rest of the team.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
