J.K. Rowling Has Mapped-Out Five ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Movies For Warner Bros.

Oct 13, 2016

During today’s live event airing on YouTube promoting the Wizarding World’s Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them release. It’s screenwriter and creator J.K. Rowling admitted plotting five Fantastic Beasts movies for the studio, while only three had been made official.

It’s an interesting move on the part of both Rowling and Warner Bros., as Rowling seemed at one point more focused on future stage plays and now has become an in-house Wizarding World screenwriter for the studio. I’m sure to protect the franchise from potential outside writers.

It also remains to be seen if all of these films will take place in the 1920s, or will jump to different eras in the Wizarding World.

Anyways, this is fantastic news for fans and I’m curious if David Yates will be sticking around to direct all five installments, which I’m sure Warner Bros. would be very happy with.

Fantastic Beasts will be flying into theatres next month.
