James Cameron Announces Release Dates For All ‘Avatar’ Sequels Through 2025

Today, James Cameron took to the official AVATAR Facebook page to announce release dates for his upcoming Avatar sequels he has been working on his the original back in 2009. All the films are expected to come out around Christmas of each year which might go head to head with future Star Wars films.

However, the sequels are expected to hit December 18, 2020, December 17, 2021, December 20, 2024 and December 19, 2025. This is different from a year ago at CinemaCon when James Cameron came out and revealed concept art for the sequels with them hitting through only 2023. We at Omega Underground learned that the sequels will begin filming later this October. Pushed back from it’s original start of this summer. He will shoot all 4 sequels back-to-back in New Zealand and Manhattan Beach, CA.
