Jan 21, 2017

Today, Deadline announced that the film rights to the Terminator franchise is going to revert back to owner James Cameron in 2019. That being said the AVATAR director is already considering a new reboot of the long living film franchise. This will mark the “3rd” reboot of sorts for the franchise after 2009’s Terminator:  Salvation and 2015’s Terminator: Genisys. This time James Cameron is looking at Deadpool director Tim Miller to helm the new project.

It’s unknown if this will be a total reboot with new characters or yet again focus on either Sarah or John Connor. It’s also unknown if Arnold Schwarzenegger will have any involvement with the upcoming project.
