JC Chandor is finally shooting his crime thriller Triple Frontier, the former Kathryn Bigelow project is now at Netflix.
We’ve learned that Triple Frontier will indeed be shooting in Hawaii on the north island of Oahu. Production is looking to take place on May 15th and will wrap on September 30th.

Previously, we revealed the crew assembled includes cinematographer Roman Vasyanov (Fury, Suicide Squad, Bright, End of Watch), production designer Greg Berry (Detroit, Suicide Squad, Homefront, Deadpool, Captain America: Civil War, 3:10 To Yuma), stunt coordinator Steve Griffin (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Mad Max: Fury Road, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), and costume designer Jacqueline West (Live By Night, The Revenant, Benjamin Button, Argo).

There hasn’t been a casting update in a while but it had been reported in July by Deadline that the project was eyeing Mark Wahlberg, Garrett Hedlund (Mudbound), Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy), Pedro Pascal (Narcos, Game of Thrones), and Adria Arjona for roles.
It’s unknown if the Netflix project has finalized deals with these actors but with production dates established there’s a good chance most of them have.
The Netflix movie doesn’t have a drop date but we suspect it will come out in 2019.
