Deadline has word that actress Jennifer Connelly is being eyed to take the lead female role in Tom Cruise‘s Top Gun sequel Top Gun: Maverick.
Val Kilmer and Miles Teller had been previously added to the cast. Connelly previously worked with Teller and director Joseph Kosinski on Only The Brave.
THR adds that filming is now expected to start in September.
Omega Underground revealed that production is also eyeing a shoot in Jordan.
Top Gun 2 is set for release on July 12th, 2019.
