Deadline is reporting that Aussie actress Ruby Rose from Orange Is The New Black and John Wick: Chapter 2 is officially playing CW’s Batwoman.
Rose being an openly lesbian actor might have been a huge reason to her hiring as the character is expected to be also lesbian and open about her sexuality on the series. A huge step forward for the genre if we’re going to be completely honest.
I’ll be interested to see if the series like Riverdale/Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will air stateside on CW, and possibly on Netflix internationally.
Omega Underground previously reported that the pilot/series was eyeing a spring shoot.
