‘John Wick 3’ Expected To Start Filming This March In NYC – Possibly In Russia and Spain Too

Jan 18, 2018

Our good friends over at ThatHashtagShow also have some production updates for John Wick: Chapter 3 aka Alpha Cop.

First, their new report reaffirms our previous reporting that John Wick 3 indeed plans on returning to film a portion in New York City and that director Chad Stahelski has signed-on.

It’s also expected to begin filming on March 1st, a little earlier than we had assumed but an early start isn’t something to complain about.

Two other possible shooting locations they claim for the production might include Russia and Spain, the former might suggest the film could explore Wick’s past and possible origin. It’s been assumed this might be the final film for the character and flushing out all the mythology might be a great way to end things on a high-note.

Returning cast members are expected to include Reeves, Ian McShane, Common, and Laurence Fishburne. It’s also rumored that Japanese action star Hiroyuki Sanada has been cast as the film’s main villain.

John Wick: Chapter 3 is set for release on May 17th, 2019.
