Today several sequel release dates were announced by their respective studios. First Lionsgate announced that John Wick is now titled John Wick: Chapter Two. Which will debut February 10th, 2017. The film still follows Keanu Reeves as John Wick travels to Rome to battle the Sicilian Mob. The film will have a returning cats of John Leguizamo, Lance Reddick, and Ian McShane. They also have added Orange is the New Black star Ruby Rose and Common. As well as a Matrix reunion with Lawrence Fishbourne making a cameo.
The second film is a sequel to the classic 1982 film Blade Runner. Blade Runner 2 is expected to hit January 12, 2018. Harrison Ford is returning alongside Ryan Gosling. This will make up several decades between the two films. This time Denis Villeneuve will take over as director from Ridley Scott who directed the original. However, original writer Hampton Fancher has returned to pen the script alongside Green Lantern scribe Micheal Green.
