‘John Wick’ Directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski Eyed By Warner Bros. For A DC Comics Film?

Latino Review is hearing that John Wick directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski are currently being considered for an unnamed DC Comics film. We’ve heard names circling both Aquaman and The Flash, so my assumption is that they’re being looked-at for another future DCCU film.

The pair are currently in-talks to direct Cowboy Ninja Viking for Universal Pictures and has Chris Pratt attached to star. They’re also unofficially attached to direct Keanu Reeves in John Wick 2 for Lionsgate which the studio sees as new major action franchise in the making.

I’m sort of leaning towards the duo directing the David Goyer developed Deathstroke movie that might see Joe Manganiello (apparently a lock to play Slade in Suicide Squad) taking a lead role. The spin-off film could be in the same ballpark as Suicide Squad or take a bit more darker tone like Blade or the upcoming Deadpool. Something that would be in their wheelhouse and let them stretch the limits of a PG-13 action sequence to the max.

Then again, they could hire the action gurus to tackle something bigger like The Batman solo flick, but we figure that might be Ben Affleck‘s gig. They sort of remind me of Zack Snyder and David Ayer, so I wouldn’t be shocked if they do land a high-profiled project.
